A thirtysomething man who refuses to leave his parents\\' home is lured out of the nest by a professional relocator. Matthew McConaughey\\'s pectoral muscles star.
Fans of Bongo playing narcissist Matthew McConaughey will breeze through this formulaic rom-com, though it possesses about as much charm as it does logic. The tanned torso is thirtysomething Tripp, a dude so content to live with his folks - hence the title - that it prompts weary mom and pop to hire Parker’s glorified hooker Paula to lure him out of the nest. The mechanical concept exists solely to push the by-the-numbers wooing, whereby McConaughey smirks and sails and Parker clings to her last shreds of post-Sex fame for all they’re worth. Zooey Deschanel’s scattered, gun-toting bi-polar flatmate is the film’s only saving grace. If only she could have been the lead. Sigh.

Fluffy promo featuring interviews with cast and crew; a look at the real-life “failure to launch” phenomenon, in which hideous marketing buzzwords like “twixters” are thrown around to justify the premise; online dating featurette, presumably to appeal to desperate rom-com fans; trailer; Myspace contest; Moviefone interview. Ugly stuff, all of it.
