You need the right MAME emulator or it can get confusing.

When it first came out there was only the DOS based emulator...and you needed a windows front end to run it easier with folders for roms, samples and all sorts of odds and ends, but now you can get some nice all in one programs (especially when it started to support zip files) it made it all so easy...
Last Xmas holidays my sister, her partner and I spent hours playing Frogger and Galaga on my laptop...mucho fun!

Well i ended up downloading a MAME emulator last night but you have to do something with a command Prompt which it won't even allow me to anything with it

The thing i download was "mame0113b_i686"  and thats off the actual MAME site

Has anyone been watching the 'I, Videogame' documentary series running on the discovery channel lately? Comprehensive look at the history of games and gamers. Started off right at the beginning with Pong followed by the Pac Man, Space Invaders, Tetris type arcade games in the first episode. Then the introduction of first generation consoles in the second episode Atari, NES, Sega etc. The last one i saw outlined the violent games debate and how the military is now using games for training and even recruitment with the introduction of America's Army on the PC.

Fascinating for any hardcore gamer. Saturday nights (yes, i have no life)

I've been watching it (repeats on Tuesdays?)...its a good show...and a kak when you see all the old games... (someone should tap John Romero on the shoulder and tell him its time for a haircut)

I use to be a PC gamer but after all the trouble with not having enough grunt to run this and that and crashes and bullshit I couldn't be fuked anymore and went console.  the day they come out with a keyoard and mouse for xbox where you can actually use them to play will be THE day.

Anyway after finishing Crackdown I'm back to trying to finish NFS Carbon.

Pfft, speak for yourself, Grish.

STALKER is rad (lolpun), definatley.  Just waiting for my monies to accumulate and magically change into a new computer.
