  I'm firmly in the MacFarlane camp. The Simpsons was brilliant for about 5 seasons. Now I really wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. Family Guy has essentially the same set-up, but the dysfunctional suburban family is hardly unique anyway. Family Guy was rather off last season, but now its right back up. I liked the last season of Futurama, but MacFarlane's shows are a lot sharper to me.

  I think the whole thing is a massive red herring. ASIO says its not a real security threat, and we don't even get that many by international standards. Both major parties are using it to try to look strong on border security. I don't think people even know why we supposedly need to stop them. There's just this vague perception of some sort of threat. Once after a boat sank and some people drowned I heard Tony Abbott say its for their own good, but I'm pretty unconvinced that's the real reason for wanting to stop them. At least Labor is letting people out of detention. What Abbott wants to do is discourage people smugglers by punishing refugees. Okay, if there's too many its a problem, but you get together with other countries, share the load and do things to deal with the wider refugee issue. Don't just go "No, we don't want to deal with it".

  Now I remember. Temple of the Crystal Skull is the ride at Tokyo DisneySea. Seems unlikely the movie would be based on that. They probably just thought it was a good title to put out there as a red herring. City of the Gods seems a likely title to me for some reason. Then again, maybe they're all bogus.

  Personally I think those possible titles are pretty good. Lost City of Gold sounds rather unoriginal. Isn't Kingdom of the Crystal Skull the name of the ride at Disneyland?
