Amazing Spider-Man, The (2012)
Ever since the first trilogy began when i was a little kid, i became a fan of Spidey and when i heard of the reboot i was excited and after attending the special 10 minute screenings that were held for the film i was even more pumped..
And what is the result you ask? It was really good, not what i was expecting but was an exceptional film.
Overall, the film reboots the famous web slinging hero in a superb way, in which delivers more in emotional and dramatical substance rather than being action packed like most other superhero movies that make this one a stand-out superhero flick. Although not perfect due to the material being done before , it is still a successful and worthy reboot that is likely to go far with the following sequels to come, and may even outperform Riami's previous trilogy. -

Dark Knight Rises, The (2012)
Nolan's trilogy has come to an end, and boy did it go out with a bang!
It is remarkable on all scales, and concludes the series in the most tremendous way..
I have to say that this one was definetley the best one in the series, and dare i say best superhero movie of the year!
Overall, a tremendously fitting send off to the Caped Crusader in true emotionally charged, action packed, epic fashion that should leave audiences and batman fans happy whilst also providing some new revelations to get fans further excited and discussing about hours after viewing the film. -

Avengers, The (2012)
With an assembly of six superheroes, its usually difficult to make a great film with so many characters to focus on, but this proved that it can surely be done.
With plenty of comedy and action for audiences, 'The Avengers' provide for a entertaining movie to keep everyone satisfied. It provides in all it set out to be and ties in with all the other Marvel superhero movies that led up to this film.The film's structure was well thought and flowed nicely throughout its 2 hour and a half run time, which is often difficult as audiences can easily be bored .
Overall, The Avengers delivered in everything it set out to be, an epic blockbuster film that manages to live up to all it's hype. Also don't miss another bonus scene (which Marvel has being doing quite often) after the first few credits which may hint of what's next to come in Marvel's superhero series.

Battleship (2012)
After catching a preview screening of the film, i felt that the movie delivered in what it had aimed to do.. provide mindless fun for audiences to escape there lives and get lost in a pure popcorn type flick.. which is what Director Peter Berg aimed to do as he made it clear during his Q&A with the preview screening audience that i got to attend.It is a very patriotic film, so if you don't like American marines saving the world from alien invasions be warned.
The movie also flows quite well despite having a fairly rushed ending, but manages to keep up its pace throughout its 2 hour run time.The cast was a highlight of the film as most of the actors did an exceptional job in playing there roles, and for those wondering whether or not Rihanna was a mistake .. fear no further as she did a amazing job.
Overall, a film that provides in what it aims to, provide a pure fun popcorn flick.
And make sure to stick around until after the credits for a bonus scene.
